"Think Inside The Box"

Training

Our goal is to provide an easy and inexpensive solution to manure management through the use of Aerated Static Pile Composting. To achieve this goal, we have developed the O2Compost Training Program in order to:

  • Clearly explain the principles of aerated composting in layman’s terms;

  • Provide all of the equipment needed to get started quickly and eliminate a time-consuming and expensive "trial and error" process;

  • Create extraordinary value and provide an opportunity to convert an on-going expense into a one-time investment that pays for itself in 6 to 12 months;

  • Improve horses' health by: 1) destroying parasites, pathogens and weed seeds in the raw manure; 2) greatly reduce flies; 3) reduce mud and dust; and 4) dramatically improve pasture quality;

  • Reduce offensive odors and clean up the appearance of the farm by systematically managing the manure as a part of the daily routine; and

  • Most importantly, reduce adverse impacts to the environment and create a finished product that greatly contributes to sustainable farming practices.

Micro-Bin Compost System

The Micro-Bin Compost System is designed for small farm operations with the equivalent of 1 to 4 horses. This method also works extremely well to manage manure from all farm animals (e.g. sheep, goats, chickens, llamas, alpacas, etc.) as well as landscaping waste from large gardens, food waste at summer camps, and other assorted applications. Training Program Description

The O2Compost Training Program is a UNIQUE AND COMPREHENSIVE METHOD of teaching you how to convert organic wastes into a high-quality compost product with strong market value. It works extremely well on farms (and zoos) of all types and sizes.

Our objective is to help you set up and operate an aerated composting system that effectively controls the composting process - without the need to turn the compost pile. The O2Compost Training Program will also satisfy any regulatory requirements for a "Manure Management Plan".

Each Training Program includes the following EIGHT FEATURES:

  1. An equipment package consisting of

    » an electric blower, sized for your scale of operation;
    » a cycle timer to operate the blower;
    » three valve gate assemblies to direct the air from the blower to any one or combination of the compost bays; and
    » a 36-inch long temperature probe.

    The blower is pre-assembled and tested with the timer to assure you of immediate operation. All straight lengths of pipe and fittings should be readily available to you at a local pipe supplier. In the event that fittings are not available, we can provide them at cost.

    The O2Compost Training Program also includes:

  2. A complete training manual with step-by-step instructions;
  3. Design drawings and a materials list for constructing the compost system;
  4. One-on-one technical support without time limits (including design, construction, start-up and long-term operation);
  5. One laboratory test of your finished compost;
  6. A preliminary marketing plan for your finished compost material;
  7. Scheduled group training workshops offering hands-on experience and site tours of local compost facilities; and
  8. An opportunity to participate in the Return to Earth® Compost Cooperative.

How to Get Started

Each farm is unique in how it operates. To determine whether the O2Compost Training Program is the best approach for you to take to effectively manage the manure on your farm, we ask that you follow these steps:

  • Complete and submit the "Contact Us" form and tell us about your specific situation;
  • In response, we will contact you to set up a time to talk on the telephone to discuss our method of composting in greater detail, answer all of your questions, and quote the price for the Training Program that is best suited for you;
  • If we agree that this is something that will work for you, we will then send you a proposal that specifies the contents of the Training Program and provides a detailed cost breakdown; and
  • Lastly, we will schedule a time for us to call you to answer any additional questions that come up and decide if now is a good time for you to move forward with the O2Compost Training Program.

As a business, our success at providing a beneficial sevice to horse owners and farmers throughout the world is directly related to your success with the O2Compost Training Program. We, therefore, view ourselves as your long-term partner with a common set of goals. We look forward to the opportunity of working with you.
