 Hands-On Composting at the Exploratorium

The Exploratorium in San Francisco, California, has an O2Compost Micro-Bin System on display for school kids and their families to see and experience composting first hand. On the front left side of the bin, there is an eliminated tube that people can reach into to feel the heat generated by the composting process.

New Benchmark System: Triple H Youth Ranch

Supporting Children and the Environment

Triple H Benchmark System

Aimee G. launched Triple H Youth Ranch in 2011, on a mission to reach emotionally-at-risk youth while providing riding lessons. Over time, it was evident she needed a better composting method. In 2025, she introduced an O2Compost Benchmark System to improve efficiency and support the ranch’s growing needs. Read more here, and see the system up close and personal.

O2Compost Q&A

Our compost bin is close to the stable. Will we see an increase in flies if I add more bins?

ANSWER:  Cover the bins with a layer of finished compost and this will serve (in part) as a vector barrier. Finished compost does not attract flies and prevents fly larvae from hatching. You should see a reduction in fly pressure with our systems.
