Hunt's End Farm

Gladstone, NJ

Jenny M. tried composting the manure and shavings bedding from her 12 horses in static piles but the material never truly composted. She then switched to wood pellet bedding and found that the volume of waste was reduced but the material still was not composting properly. Now that she has incorporated the O2Compost system into her waste management plan, she produces a high-quality compost product to use on the hay fields, vegetable and garden beds. Jenny says "The combination of the wood pellets and the design of the new system which allows dumping the wheel barrow from the top and then empyting the bins with the tractor from below has greatly reduced the labor involved in manure management. Our 12 stall barn can be mucked very efficiently...about 1/2 hour."
