Ken F. first saw an O2 Compost system when he took a live-local course at Stone Barns Center near his home in Katonah, New York. He mentioned it to his brother-in-law Bill, who lives in Virginia, and together they constructed a compost system at Bill’s home. They had to “beg, borrow and steal” horse manure from a local stable and they were amazed at the rapid transformation of raw “waste” to finished product. Ken and Bill are now planning ways to scale up their composting efforts into a full-fledged business.
