Pony Power Therapies

Mahwah, NJ

Pony Power Therapies composts manure, hay, and bedding from ~30 ponies, horses, and small farm animals, as well as plants from the vegetable garden. To prevent harmful nutrients from entering nearby streams, the area around the compost site was reshaped with drainage in mind. Any leachate from the compost pile drains through a wood chip berm. The finished compost is put to work in their giving garden, with a plan to sell any surplus.

"Composting aligns with our commitment to regenerative agriculture. This system helps us turn manure and bedding that would otherwise be a waste product into a valuable resource for our farm and garden." ~Nick S.
