Two Particular Acres

Royersford, PA

Ned Foley, former attorney and owner of Two Particular Acres, was composting paunch waste from a local meat packing plant combined with curbside collected yard debris. He was using the turned windrow method of composting and was frustrated because of the limited space that he had to work with and the odors (and neighbor impacts) it produced. Working with O2Compost, he installed an Aerated Static Piile (ASP) Compost System and this resolved both his space and odor issues. With this increased capacity, Ned began taking in food waste from local restaurants and a major grocery store chain in his region. He has since implemented the Extended ASP Method and is currently setting up 10 full-scale compost facilities in former sand and gravel pits in the mid-Atlantic region.
