When Peter was first developing the idea of our Training Programs, he had no way of knowing if it would actually work in the U.S. and Canada, let alone overseas.
In 2016, he received an email from Nikki Kagan, a horse owner in Israel. Initially, the email was dismissed because Peter was sure the price of shipping aeration equipment to Israel would be cost prohibitive. Eventually, he replied only to explain that the distance was too great and that he wouldn't be able to help her. But that didn't stop Nikki.
At the time, we were selling our Micro-Bin Training Programs on Amazon. Nikki saw an opportunity, and that's why Peter tells people she "tricked" him into going international. It was at that point that we had to figure out a way to serve a world market and, since then, we have completed 126 overseas projects.
Nikki and her team constructed a 3-bin system using masonry block for the walls. The concrete slab had two aeration channels in each bin, and she constructed lids that fold to the sides allowing access to the finished compost with her tractor.

Today, instead of shipping equipment, we provide specifications for the blower, timer, and temperature probe so that our clients can purchase the equipment from local sources. This has two advantages: 1) it avoids the cost of shipping; and 2) it ensures that the blower and timer match the client's electrical power requirements. We now only use high impact plastic "Jumpy-House" blowers that are available in most countries and, as a result, our compost systems can be installed almost anywhere. The training and support are provided remotely (email, Zoom) and our Operations Manuals are sent as a pdf document. It works.
Thank you, Nikki, for showing us it can be done! Nikki Kagan Testimonial
